NDA Joins Large Coalition Pushing for Passage of Public Lands Legislation - Take Action

February 1, 2019 | by National Deer Alliance

The National Deer Alliance (NDA) joined 42 other hunting and fishing organizations urging Senate leadership to vote to permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which has bipartisan support in both the House and Senate. U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) negotiated the legislation last Congress and received a commitment to bring the bill to the Senate floor for a vote in the 116th Congress.

NDA recently called upon its members to contact their senators to ask them to vote yes on this important legislation, and we are once again requesting your help. This can be easily done by visiting NDA’s Grassroots Advocacy Center and clicking on the bill, S. 47.

“We are proud to join our many conservation partners in this important effort to reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund,” said Nick Pinizzotto, NDA president and CEO. “NDA prioritizes hunter access, growth of the sport, and state and federal land management, and S. 47 contains multiple provisions that advance these areas.” You can see the letter sent to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, here.
