NDA CEO Named to International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation
At a recent meeting of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) held in Vienna, Austria, National Deer Alliance (NDA) President and CEO, Nick Pinizzotto, was recently named as a member of the international organization headquartered in Budapest, Hungry, and the U.S. Delegation. The CIC is a politically independent advisory board, which aims to preserve wild game and hunting. To achieve this goal, the CIC promotes the sustainable use of wildlife resources. The Council’s mission is to promote, on a global scale, sustainable hunting as a tool for conservation, while building on valued traditions.
“It is an honor to be named to the CIC, and I look forward to doing my part to help the organization achieve its goals,” said Pinizzotto. “Deer are by far the most popular game animal pursued in North America, and I look forward to providing that perspective as it relates to the overall work of the Council.”
The US Delegation’s mission is to support and promote the four global initiatives of CIC, namely - Combat Wildlife Crime, Promote Wildlife Conservation, Partner with International Organizations and Sustain our Global Hunting Heritage.
