Letter from the President

August 9, 2016 | by National Deer Alliance

Thank you for visiting my blog on the National Deer Alliance (NDA) website. We strive to provide you with the latest news happening in the deer world, while also updating you on the work of NDA. This is where I will cover issues from a more personal perspective.

I would say that not a day goes by that I’m not thinking about deer, or doing something related to hunting, be it photographing, filming or writing about them. Growing up in Pennsylvania, I was surrounded by hunting and abundant deer herds. I developed an indescribable passion for deer at a very young age, and I have a particular fondness for pursuing mature whitetail and mule deer bucks with a bow all across the country.

I have developed very strong feelings about wild deer, their habitat, and the tradition of hunting them, and I am certain that will come through as you read my posts here. I invite you to provide your own thoughts and feedback, as well. I look forward to working with you to help NDA serve as the guardian of wild deer conservation, and our hunting heritage.

Nick Pinizzotto,
President & CEO

NDA and QDMA recently announced that the two groups will merge to form a single entity to serve deer, hunters, and the hunting industry, and I am both honored and humbled to serve as the CEO of the newly formed organization.

I hadn’t seen my brother in-person for weeks, and it had been months since we actually spent significant time together. But there we were – it was opening day of Pennsylvania’s spring turkey season, and we were going hunting together.
